Thirty-two XLR3M connections accessible at the front
PBA 32M brings thirty-two balanced XLR3M connections to the front of the rack, arranged in two rows, and groups the rear cabling into four Tascam-standard DB-25 connectors. Channels are organised into CH1-8, CH9-16, CH17-24 and CH25-32 groups, keeping connections accessible at the front while multipair cabling can be managed neatly at the rear.
Passive bidirectional routing
The connection between XLR3M and DB-25 is direct, passive and point-to-point and does not impose an electrical signal direction. The path can therefore be used in either direction according to the system routing.
Four groups of eight channels
The four DB-25 connectors correspond to CH1-8, CH9-16, CH17-24 and CH25-32. This grouping makes signal paths easier to identify and helps keep multipair cabling organised in racks with a high connection count.
Applications
PBA 32M is suitable for multi-I/O studios, control rooms, live racks and broadcast workstations that require a high number of front-panel XLR3M connections and rear DB-25 connections to interfaces, converters, mixers, recorders or outboard gear.
