A mono passive DI for instruments and sources
DIPM is Teknosign’s single-channel passive Direct Box for instruments and sources that need a balanced XLR feed to a mixer, stagebox or audio interface. 6.35 mm IN and THRU connections keep an amplifier in parallel when required.
-20 dB Pad and Ground Lift
The -20 dB Pad increases available input-level margin: declared maximum input level is +22 dBu with Pad OFF and +42 dBu with the -20 dB Pad engaged. Ground Lift disconnects pin 1 of the XLR output when the ground connection contributes to a specific ground loop.
Passive topology with custom transformer
DIPM uses a passive topology based on a custom transformer and requires no power supply. An integrated EMI/RFI filter completes the signal path.
Straightforward routing
IN, THRU and the balanced XLR3M output allow the signal to be sent to the audio system while retaining an amplifier or another compatible device in the parallel path when required.
Applications
DIPM is suitable for passive bass, electric guitar, analog synths and studio or live setups that require one compact passive DI with a -20 dB Pad, Ground Lift and THRU.
