Sixteen XLR3M connections accessible on the front
PBA 16M brings sixteen balanced XLR3M connections to the front of the rack and groups the rear cabling into two Tascam-standard DB-25 connectors. Channels are organised into CH1-8 and CH9-16 groups, keeping connections accessible at the front while multipair cabling can be managed neatly at the rear.
Passive bidirectional routing
The connection between XLR3M and DB-25 is direct, passive and point-to-point and does not impose an electrical signal direction. The path can therefore be used in either direction according to the system routing.
Two groups of eight channels
The two DB-25 connectors correspond to CH1-8 and CH9-16. This grouping makes signal paths easier to identify and helps keep multipair cabling organised at the rear of the rack.
Applications
PBA 16M is suitable for control rooms, studios, live racks and broadcast workstations that require front-panel XLR3M connections and rear DB-25 connections to interfaces, converters, mixers, recorders or outboard gear.
