Accessible XLR and TRS connections, organised rear cabling
PBA 16C brings sixteen Neutrik Combo connections to the front of the rack, usable with XLR or 6.35 mm TRS jacks, and groups the rear cabling into two Tascam-standard DB-25 connectors. The dual connection format provides greater flexibility when a setup includes sources and equipment using both XLR and TRS.
Passive bidirectional routing
Wiring is direct, passive and point-to-point and does not impose an electrical signal direction. The path between the Combo connections and the DB-25 connectors can therefore be used in either direction according to the system routing.
Two groups of eight channels
The two DB-25 connectors correspond to CH1-8 and CH9-16. This grouping makes signal paths easier to identify and helps keep multipair cabling organised at the rear of the rack.
Applications
PBA 16C is suitable for compact studios, mobile rigs and hybrid setups using DB-25 interfaces, converters or mixers where front-panel connections compatible with both XLR and 6.35 mm TRS are useful.
