Per-channel control before stereo summing
SUM CL is a 16-channel analog summing amplifier for stem-based and hybrid workflows where level and stereo placement need to remain directly accessible on the hardware. Sixteen main inputs are provided on two Tascam-standard DB-25 connectors; each channel features continuous attenuation and an L/C/R PAN selector.
Master Out and stereo expansion
Master Out adjusts the final stereo level from −∞ to +9 dB, with 0 dB marked on the panel as the reference point. Two XLR3F L/R EXP IN connectors accept an already summed stereo signal, allowing another stereo source or a second SUM CL to be integrated. The final mix is available on balanced XLR3M L/R SUM OUT connectors.
Straightforward rack integration
The 19″ / 1U format makes SUM CL suitable for studio racks and hybrid systems using DB-25 routing. The unit is mains powered through an IEC connector and the mains power cable is included.
Applications
Stem mixing, mixing outside the DAW, hybrid workflows and expandable analog summing systems where per-channel level and PAN control are required before the final stereo sum.
