Mono dynamic control with onboard parallel compression
VMC is a mono VCA compressor in the Box Line Double range, designed to manage the dynamics of vocals, bass, drums, mono tracks and stems with a complete but straightforward control set.
MAKE UP: Dry/Wet control
The panel-labelled MAKE UP control is not a conventional make-up gain control: it sets the Dry/Wet balance. Fully counter-clockwise the signal remains uncompressed; turning the control clockwise progressively increases the processed component up to 100% Wet. This allows parallel compression to be set directly on the unit.
Timing, ratio and metering
Attack and Release are continuously variable from 10 to 500 ms, while Ratio is selected in steps. Meter Sel switches the VU meter between Gain Reduction and signal level; Bypass allows comparison between compressed and unprocessed signal.
Connections and power
VMC uses balanced XLR input and output connections. The external 24 V DC power supply is included.
